Since I discovered Bowled, it has become my favorite place to meet friends for a delicious meal and pleasant atmosphere. I have enjoyed every menu item I have tried. My visit here was an excellent one. The thanksgiving wrap/sausage corn chowder was divine, penne vodka outstanding, and the meatloaf was amazing. You're a first class operation!
I drive by Bowled every day and finally stopped in today to check you folks out. I was super impressed with every detail! I sat at the counter while I waited for my to-go order and watched your excellent staff as they waited on customers, cashed out orders, and came in and out of the kitchen. Congrats and kudos to everyone there: you're a first class operation and I'm looking forward to my next meal there, and will make it a point to travel from Bradenton with friends to patronize Bowled! Bowled Restaurant Review
...Cecere and staff are doing dozens of things right. Service is warm and efficient, moms and their toddlers feeling just as welcomed as business lunchers. The interior is cheery, with a caramel-chocolate-black color scheme, comfortable booths and easy-wipe tables.
I jumped the gun a little bit, my first visit while chef Matt Cummings (formerly at Cafe Ponte) was still getting his bearings. He seemed to have hit his stride on my second visit, impressive since the menu globe-trots all over the place, loosely organized by dishes that you can serve in bowls.
